Bell Super Mountain Bike Helmet Review
Positives
With the enduro scene gaining traction around the world, many manufacturers are creating mountain bike apparel specific to this segment, and BELL have entered the enduro helmet market with a great enduro lid in the form of the BELL Super mountain bike enduro helmet. The Bell Super is not as airy as a road helmet, and certainly not close to that of a cross country helmet, but within the enduro inspired helmet market, the Bell Super performs admirably and is well ventilated to any of its competitors. The Bell Super has a total of 25 vents, and also includes 4 additional “overbrow” vents that are extremely effective at moving air through the helmet.
Ventilation is not the most impressive feature of the Bell Super helmet though. What we really liked about the Bell Super helmet is its integration credentials, probably also due to its association with GoPro.
With its GoPro camera mount and goggle management system, Bell have managed to create a comfortable helmet with ample coverage and superior ventilation, along with the added integration benefits.
The Bell Super mountain bike helmet is designed to be a low-fitting helmet and features the latest in-mould construction technology and Bell’s own SpeedDial fit system. With its X-static padding which integrates silver fibers into the pads, moisture is quickly wicked away from your head. Another benefit of the X-static padding is that it is an antimicrobial material which inhibits growth of odor-causing bacteria and fungi while keeping you cooler than standard pads and the fibers also combat odors naturally.
